Rules & Regulations
The price for open testing is $300.00 per car which includes one driver. Any additional drivers are $50.00 per person. All persons going to the race track MUST stop at the Roos Racing School office to sign in and receive a track pass. You will not be allowed into Pocono Raceway without a dated track pass. Test days are conducted rain or shine.
All drivers must hold a valid racing competition license from one of the following organizations: SCCA, IMSA, EMRA, RCCA, or VSCCA. You must ask management for approval on all other licensing.
Drivers must be equipped with all normal safety equipment required of the licensed sanctioning body. At a minimum, Snell 2000 helmets, fire resistant driving suits, shoes and gloves will be required.
Bertil Roos Racing School reserves the right to disallow from participation any driver who is improperly equipped, improperly licensed, or in its judgment is operating in a manner unsafe to himself and/or others on the racetrack.
Only race cars with appropriate safety equipment will be allowed on the track for open testing. No street cars will be allowed to participate for any reason.
It is the responsibility of the driver’s team to make sure that all cars and equipment are removed from the circuit by the end of the test day. Check in at the Roos office begins at 8:30 am. Open track time is from 9:00 am to noon. The track will be closed for one hour for lunch and will resume again at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Paddock must be cleared by 5:00 pm as per Pocono Raceway.
No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on the property of Pocono Raceway. Violators will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
As open test days will not have the normal complement of corner workers and safety personnel, it is the ultimate responsibility of the drivers for their own safety and good conduct while on the track. Flagging, to the degree that it exists, should be considered only as a supplement to the drivers own judgment with regards to safety.
